Service Description

Group therapy, as the name implies, is a type of psychological therapy that is conducted with a group of people (3 to 10). Many groups are designed to target a specific problem, such as depression, obesity, panic disorder, social anxiety, chronic pain or substance abuse. Other groups focus more generally on improving social skills, helping people deal with a range of issues such as anger, shyness, loneliness, unhealthy relationships and low self-esteem. Why Group therapy? Strengthening your relationship skills, reducing isolation and finding your voice. Group therapy is especially valuable for individuals dealing with depression, social anxiety and life transitions. But group therapy isn't for everyone at every stage of life. The research says, Group therapy is more beneficial when it is combined with individual therapy, which allows individuals to focus on their personal as well as social needs.
